More than 7,000 square feet of ISO 7 cleanroom space built for mmWave Filter production in the 5G network.

Lead time was of paramount importance to this client, who is playing a major role in bringing 5G communication to the mainstream. The next-generation network (NGN) is expected to be 100-150 times faster than 4G, and is nearly real-time communication. To produce this transformative electronic technology, a major capital investment was made to build a high-end ISO 7 cleanroom, and Mecart was chosen for the project. Phase 1 provides 7,000+ square feet of Class 10,000 space to manufacture mmWave Filters. The current space includes a wet room, sputter room, laser room, annealing room, metrology room, gowning room and an air shower. 5 HVAC/mechanical rooms are also required to handle the 42,500 CFM airflow that maintains the air purity.

Once complete, the entire project will be over 12,000 square feet.
